Getting Started

New to TeamXP? Let’s Get You Started.

  • Convos are interactive, video-based learning experiences designed for teams.

All you have to do is press play! The video becomes your session facilitator, guiding your team through activities and sparking real-time discussion as you go. It’s not passive learning; it’s a shared experience built to get everyone engaged.

  • Convos are delivered through your organization. You’ll either receive a direct link or access it through your company’s LMS.

No logins. No setup. Just press play.

  • Yes! Convos are designed to work wherever your team works. The experience is flexible, seamless, and built to spark conversation no matter how you connect.

  • Nope! Everything is on-demand and online. No downloads, installs, or tech headaches required.

  • Only one team member needs to have access to the Convo. Everyone else just needs to show up to the meeting.

No individual logins, no setup, no hassle.

Team Session Success

Tips, Tricks, and Everything In Between

  • Pick a team member to act as the Convo Leader. This person will drive the video and have a heads up on the Convo activities to ensure smooth transitions during the discussion.

A guide for understanding the Convo Leader role is provided at guide.teamxp.app

  • Set a time for your team to meet, in person or virtually. You’ll need a shared screen to play the Convo, and each person should have their own web-enabled device.
Set the expectation that this isn’t sit-and-watch training, it’s a space for conversation and shared discovery. Come ready to jump in!

  • Nope! Just press play and let the Convo do the heavy lifting. In fact, when someone steps into a facilitator role, it can actually get in the way. Our pilot groups found that teams had a better experience when everyone, including the leader, just showed up as a participant.

No one needs to be the expert. Just create a space that feels safe and open for everyone to contribute. Even if things start slow, teams will find their rhythm, so stick with it.

  • Most Convos take about 20–30 minutes, but you’re in control. The video guides the experience, while your team decides whether to move faster or go deeper where it matters most.

  • The goal of a Convo isn't to walk away with a to-do list. If you have meaningful conversations, the right actions and connections tend to emerge on their own.

The best next step is to keep the conversation going. Revisit insights that moved the team forward, and call it out when old habits start creeping back in. Then schedule your next Convo; monthly or every other month is a great cadence.

For Team Leaders

Let’s Turn Group Time Into Growth Time.

  • Your biggest job is to resist the urge to take over. When your team sees you leading with curiosity instead of answers, it signals that every voice matters, and that changes everything.

We recommend assigning a team member as the Convo Leader rather than taking that role yourself. It frees you up to participate fully and models the kind of openness you want from everyone else.

A guide for the Convo Leader role is available at guide.teamxp.app.

  • The ideal size is your entire team. Convos are built to include everyone.

If you're working with a larger group, some Convos include prompts for breaking into smaller groups for certain activities or discussions. The goal is making sure every voice has a chance to be heard.

Hosting a multi-team event? We recommend each team runs their own Convo separately.

  • There's no required order or prescribed path and that's intentional. Convos cover a range of topics including accountability, communication, decision making, conflict, and more.

The best starting point is curiosity. Ask yourself where a great conversation would have the most impact on your team right now. Trust that instinct and start there.

  • The honest answer is that you can't force it, and trying to will usually backfire. Engagement is an invitation, not a mandate.

The most effective thing you can do is model it. Show up curious, share openly, and resist the urge to fill every silence. When your team sees that from you, most will follow.

    A few things that help:

    • Use the pause points. They're built in to spark discussion. Let them land before moving on.

    • Invite, don't call out. Welcome different voices without putting anyone on the spot.

    • Follow the energy. If the conversation takes a meaningful turn, go with it.

  • The real impact of a Convo shows up in the quality of your team's conversation during the session. The simplest and most powerful metric is this: Did your team have a meaningful conversation?

Consistent, meaningful conversation does more to improve team performance than almost any other factor. Imagine the impact of your team having that conversation on an essential topic every month. That's exactly what TeamXP is built to deliver.

Troubleshooting

Convo Not Cooperating? Let’s Make It Right.

  • This is usually easily fixed by just refreshing the page.

If it happens in the middle of a Convo, refresh the page and use the chapter menu button on the right to jump back to where you left off.

Still having trouble? Contact us at support@teamxp.co and we’ll help you out.

  • First, make sure everyone is using the correct link shared during the Convo. If the activity isn't loading, try refreshing the page or opening the link in a different browser.

In some cases, an organization's firewall may block access. If that happens, your IT team can whitelist “tmxp.io” and “teamxp.app” to resolve the issue.

Still stuck? Reach out to us at support@teamxp.co and we'll get your team back on track quickly.

  • No worries, restarting is easy. Whether you’re refreshing the page or coming back at a different time, just use the chapter menu button on the right side of the Convo screen to navigate to any point in the experience.
